Highlighting Sporting Equals Project: Zwift - Youth LeaderBoard

Meet Yusuf Dadhiwala, a participant in the Zwift Youth LeaderBoard programme

“Being a member of the Sporting Equals Youth LeaderBoard has been a great experience for young people like myself aspiring to work within sport and sport media. Coming from an ethnically diverse community myself, it has been a privilege to be given a platform to help contribute to promoting positive social change, learning key skills to excel in the industry along the way, as well as hearing from industry leaders on how large organisations within sport are helping to promote ethnic diversity at all levels.  

Highlights of the programme include attending the King Power Stadium, home of the 2015-16 Premier League champions. Learning from the experiences of football legends: Emile Heskey and Wes Morgan in dealing with discrimination throughout their career, as well the great work they are pushing alongside Leicester City Football Club to help combat this issue.   

The virtual masterclasses hosted by Sporting Equals, in collaboration with Zwift, have been a fantastic help in developing the fundamental skills required to succeed in the industry, with the networking dinner also a great opportunity to connect with impactful professionals across various fields in sport.  

I look forward to continuing to contribute to help promote diversity and inclusion within sport. I hope to be at the forefront in the industry I love, delivering a message I feel passionately about in a marketing role to effectively drive positive social change.”
