Great Coaches not only help us to learn new skills and be active, but they also have a transformative and lasting impact on community life.We all know that participating regularly in sport and physical activity makes us healthier and happier. The challenge for most of us though is establishing and sustaining a regular habit. That's where great coaches come in.

The Board of Directors

Our UK Coaching Board is currently made up of an appointed Non-Executive Chair (NEC) plus nine volunteers with a range of skills and experience from within and without sport and physical activity. The maximum size of the Board (including the NEC) is 12

The Board has statutory and fiduciary responsibilities under Charity Law and the Companies Act. It is responsible for developing strategy and acting as a challenge to the executive, who have the responsibility of day-to-day delivery. The Board meets at least six times per year to further the development of the business.

Each Board member takes on additional duties according to their skill sets. The following standing committees operate: Finance, Audit, Risk; Governance; HR and Remuneration; Nominations. These committees operate at the request of the Board, and the chairs of each committee report into the Board
