Our Organisation

The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grassroots through to the professional game, The Emirates FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George's Park.

The Role

The Video Content Manager will plan, create and oversee the delivery of unique and compelling digital content for The Emirates FA Cup channels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete production cycle of video content for The Emirates FA Cup channels, ensuring all assets are best in class and aligned with the organisation's brand vision. You will work closely with central content agency and internal stakeholders to ensure maximum performance, throughout ideation, planning and delivery phases.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with multiple stakeholders for ideation, planning, delivery and distribution of content for FA owned competitions.
  • Main point of contact for video content for the Emirates FA Cup channels.
  • Edit feedback/approval on all videos provided by main EFAC content agency.
  • Work closely with FA Player team on planning and execution of content to maintain a consistent publishing schedule.
  • Work closely with Social Media Producer and Content Manager (competitions) to lead on content calls with internal stakeholders.
  • Writing briefs ahead of shoots for Third Party agencies and freelancers.
  • Filming and editing using large sensor cameras including; Sony FX6, A7S and FS7 and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Proactivity in staying up-to-date with latest digital trends across various channels including Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok and communicating across the team.
  • To collaborate with the wider commercial and marketing team to ensure content drives objectives.

What we are looking for:

Knowledge;

  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder groups,
  • In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of video within Social Media platforms,
  • Sound planning of the distribution and promotion of content,
  • Experience and knowledge of the inner workings of a sports team and/or broadcaster environment.

Experience;

  • Worked closely with external agencies and freelancers in content delivery,
  • A strong track record in ideation and creative processes,
  • Ability to produce, shoot and edit a variety of content,
  • Previous experience in a professional sports environment.

Technical Skills;

  • Experienced use of project and production management tools,
  • Professional experience in Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop,
  • History of delivering edits to tight deadlines,
  • Proactive and creative around setting standards with video,
  • Experience with various post-production and production workflows.
