Established in 2008, we currently support over 2,000 member schools in the UK and internationally, and expect to see this number to grow, as we develop our membership offer. 

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Create Development seeks a reliable, enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our small and friendly Central Operations Team, who provide essential support to our potential and existing Members, as well as to our Regional Sales and Delivery Teams. 

We are looking for a confident and committed individual to ensure the purchase and sales ledger operations run efficiently. The ideal candidate will be in the early stages of their finance career with a view to develop and will have some experience in administrative support, expense management, data integrity and invoice processing. A knowledge of Xero accounting software is desirable but not essential.

                                   

Role:

  • Daily processing of sales and purchase invoices, whilst managing credit control.
  • Preparing cash receipts and keeping up to date with the bank reconciliation.
  • Resolving internal and external queries in a timely manner.
  • General bookkeeping using Xero and Dext, and monitoring control accounts.
  • Creating and maintaining flow documentation, accounting records, special reports and analysis as and when required.
  • Assisting Accountants with month end reconciliations and account queries.
  • Preparing weekly analysis and reporting to the Board as and when required.

Skills, interests, qualities:

  • Experience in previous financial accounting role for minimum of 2 years.
  • Literate with financial accounting systems, with knowledge and experience of Xero software desirable and advantageous.
  • High degree of numeracy with an ability to manipulate data sets.
  • A high level of competence and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and related platforms.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Willing to learn and an ability to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Confident, articulate with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and willing to commit to time demands of the role.
