British Canoeing is the UK Governing Body for Paddlesports. We have had many advances in our sport and canoeing now covers a wide range of interests and passions as a sport and a leisure activity for all. We want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of canoeing regardless of their age, background or ability.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised HR Advisor who is passionate about delivering a great employee experience, to join our small team here at British Canoeing.
Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will encompass a wide range of day to day people related activities across the organisation and at all levels. As you develop into the role you will provide pro-active and professional support, inspiring, coaching and supporting managers throughout the employee lifecycle.
The role requires an experienced HR professional with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and up to date knowledge of HR best practice and employment law. You will be confident to lead on casework, recruitment and selection and deliver a broad range of people services.
This role is based at the National Water Sports Centre in the Holme Pierrepont Country Park.
