We have an opportunity for a non-executive Board Director to join our AoC Sport Board of Management. This is an exciting time to join AoC Sport, as we are a growing business with an ambitious business strategy.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, articulate individual who has commercial and business acumen, strategic leadership skills, and a commitment to good governance.  An interest in sport and physical activity would also be desirable.

The Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of AoC Sport Ltd, and developing the organisation's aims, objectives and goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1.     Ensure that strategies are in place to deliver AoC Sport objectives.

2.         Ensure sound management systems are in place.

3.         Ensure that there are robust arrangements in place to monitor progress towards the AoC Sport's goals.

4.         Ensure that the Board functions within the legal and regulatory framework of the sector and consistently with the Articles of Association.

5.         Ensure that there are sound governance structures in place for the Board.

6.         Represent AoC Sport, acting on behalf of its members, in lobbying, promoting and influencing external bodies and other stakeholders.

7.         Ensure at all times that AoC Sport demonstrates sound financial management, and all proposals and initiatives are subject to thorough financial appraisal.
