JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary

The National Coach has responsibly for the planning and delivery of training for the England Performance Programme (EPP) as determined by the Head Coach. The National Coach will primarily deliver 'on court' and will have a key reasonability in ensuring a positive, highly  motivated and forward thinking culture exists in the training environment and when competing Internationally.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

o Plan and deliver an annual and weekly training and competition programme for players supported within the EPP o Effectively utilise the available Sports Science Sport Medicine support for those within the EPP to maximise performance and ensure we meet our duty of care responsibilities to the players o Work closely with Head Coach and team of Pathway Coaches in the planning and delivery of the England Junior Performance Programmes (EJPP) to ensure alignment and overlap of the EPP and EJPP o Work closely with the Head Coach to ensure resources and expertise are maximised to deliver our strategic objectives o Role requirement to be delivering 'on court' with priority players an average of 90% of the time

o Proven track record of delivering results at the highest level o Determined individual who is prepared to relentlessly pursue medal success o Willingness to seek out new and innovative approaches to maintain and enhance the weekly training environment o Ambitious to continually develop new skills and techniques for the purpose of ensuring coaching methods keep pace with latest world trends o Demonstrate an ability to organise and prioritise workload o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop positive internal and external relationships at all levels o Capability and willingness to support other work area within the Performance Directorate as required
