England Athletics delivers services, support and funding within the sport. Our role includes working with affiliated clubs, officials, schools, and coaches. We also provide national level competition and work on athlete development beneath world class performance level.

A vacancy has arisen for a Full or Part-Time Board & Non-Executive Secretary at its Head Office in Birmingham.

Salary;  £28-£38K


Holiday;  25 days plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays

Hours: 35 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered). This role requires the post holder to work such hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of the duties of the role and specific hours cannot be determined. A flexible approach to work is required evening and weekend working will be involved.

This role involves supporting the Board of Directors, Statutory Sub Committees, Task & Finish Groups and Council Structure. This individual will prepare reports and handle information requests, maintain and keep clear and concise files, meeting minutes and records on all Board, Council and sub-committee/group matters. This post holder will ensure that England Athletics remains compliant with all statutory requirements and follows governance best practice and works towards continual improvement in line with the mandatory sports governance code.

Therefore, we are looking for an individual with previous experience within a company secretarial environment, experience of administrating governance related policy and with strong analytical and writing skills.
