Overview of the Role:

  • To support the Governance team by way of completing duties and responsibilities indicative of the core areas of the game including discipline, affiliations, refereeing, safeguarding children, competitions and finance.
  • To provide a high quality administrative support to the Governance Manager and senior staff.
  • To support the delivery of The FA National Game Strategy and Essex County FA Governance Strategy.

What you'll be doing:

  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries, providing a very high level of customer service to
  • internal and external customers.
  • Supporting Clubs, Leagues and Football Participants with all aspects of football administration.
  • Supporting customers with using FA IT systems.
  • Supporting and administering the disciplinary process, including acting as a Discipline Commission Secretary.
  • Supporting receipting and invoicing.
  • Liaising with other members of the organisation as well as the FA and other County FAs.

Who we are looking for:

The successful applicant will need to be passionate and committed to the development of football at a local level, and be able to work under pressure, handling multiple priorities and deadlines. They will need to demonstrate exceptional customer service, be able to work as part of a team with excellent planning, communication and presentation skills.  They will need a very good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.  They will be willing to work evenings and weekends on occasions, and be able to demonstrate the Essex FA values of Understanding, Innovation, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
