The Youth Sport Trust (YST) is a children's charity passionate about building a brighter future for young people by harnessing the power of sport to enhance wellbeing, build leadership and raise achievement. We are committed to growing our existing research and insight capacity and capability and are currently recruiting for a Head of Research & Insight, a Research & Insight Manager, and a Data & Insight Analyst, to join our existing evaluation and insight specialists and data analysts.

As Data and Insight Analyst, you will be an integral member of our R&I team, delivering research and insight activities which build our reputation as the most respected and trusted source of evidence on the power of sport, PE and physical activity on wellbeing, achievement and life chances. We want to be joined by someone who is passionate about data collation, manipulation, quality assurance and statistical analysis to generate meaningful insight.

You will be involved in the planning, collection and reporting of data across the organisation – working with colleagues to develop, manage and use centralised systems and processes to ensure we are capturing high quality and meaningful data efficiently and effectively. You will have responsibility for monitoring and assessing the performance and reach of all our activities, and capturing the positive impact we are having on young people, as well as supporting the effective planning of all operational delivery.

You must have experience of compiling data from a variety of sources – including quantitative and qualitative data from academic and grey literature, and ideally will have good experience of different data management and analysis tools and software, including spatial mapping and data visualisation techniques. You must also have experience using SNAP survey software or similar. Your technical abilities will be complemented by good presentation, communication, relationship building and prioritisation skills; and you will be highly organised, numerate and with an eye for detail.

If you have the experience and expertise to ensure we continue to impact positively on the lives of young people, and are excited about joining our research and insight team at this exciting time, please visit our website at  and complete our online application.
Youth Sport Trust positively welcomes and seeks to ensure we achieve diversity in our workforce and that all job applicants and employees receive equal and fair treatment. We encourage applications from all candidates regardless of age, race, gender, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
