Our Insight team has a proven track record of providing research across numerous sectors including government, sporting institutions and the third sector. We are aligned to key Academic Institutions who form part of our research team, to help support focused and tailored research. Current partners include: Leicester University (DICE Unit), Leeds Beckett University, Wolverhampton University and Brunel.

Insight is an integral element of the Sporting Equals offer, and is the starting point when planning and designing all interventions and project based activity. The central aims of our research are to:

  1. Develop a broader understanding of BAME communities participation in sport and physical activity.
  2. Contribute to the advancement of professional practice in the sports sector.
  3. Be a leading 'Think Tank' in this space.

We often work in partnership, offering bespoke research projects. Some of the partners we have worked with include:

Sport England, England Golf, England Hockey, Tennis Foundation, the FA, England Athletics, Activity Alliance, UK Sport, Youth Sport Trust, the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Women in Sport and Age UK.

Alongside our research, we have worked with partner agencies to produce education material, toolkits and resources to help support staff and volunteers to build confidence in engaging diverse communities and dealing with sensitive issues relating to race equality.
