The UK Coaching Awards honour sports coaches and coaching organisations who have demonstrated outstanding success over the previous 12 months. Categories in the awards cover every aspect of coaching, from volunteers working at a local level in the community right through to full-time professional coaches working with our national teams. Sports coach UK are particularly encouraging organisations tor raise the number of nominations for women coaches that you believe are worthy of a nomination.
Hosted by sports coach UK, the showpiece event is seen as one of the most prestigious within the coaching community. Now in its 19th year, it raises the profile of coaches and the role they play in encouraging participation, performance and excellence. A new Code for Sports Governance sets out the levels of transparency, accountability and financial integrity that will be required from those who ask for Government and National Lottery funding from April 2017.
