These are just some of the questions up for discussion at a This Girl Can Coach workshop which takes place at University of East London on 4 October, as part of the Women's Sports Week celebrations.
Delivered in partnership with the UEL and sportscoach UK, this will be more than just a conversation.
As we finalise our new Coaching Plan and sports coach UK celebrates the first birthday of its Reach campaign we will seek to establish practical steps and actions we can all take to ensure workshops like this are no longer necessary.
There will be the opportunity to review the latest insights, hear from experts in the field, share success stories and agree practical next steps.
To whet your appetite, here's a reminder of the film BBC Sport made last year discussing the dearth of female coaches.
Date: Tuesday 4 October
