Push the Boat Out
The national event sees hundreds of sailing clubs and training centres up and down the country offering free or low cost 'have a go' sailing taster sessions and open days.
In 2015, over 28,000 people took to the water during the RYA's national try sailing campaign. One visitor who experienced a taster at Delph Sailing Club said: “We really enjoyed it. Just that sense of being out there powered by mother nature- it was so exciting and really exhilarating! We'll definitely be coming back.”
“RYA Push the Boat Out is all about getting people out on the water locally and giving them the chance to find out just how easy it is to get involved in sailing and windsurfing” explains RYA Club Support Advisor Jackie Bennetts.
“In 2016 the event will run over nine days with even more clubs and centres taking part, hosting fantastic PTBO taster sessions and open days. We hope that those who enjoy their time on the water will make plans to continue to go sailing!”
