Breaking Boundaries Apprentice Opportunity
Are you interested in Sport, volunteering and working in the community? If Yes, then the Youth Sport Trust needs you to support the delivery of an exciting and ground-breaking programme to build healthier, happier and inclusive communities through sport. The programme will use cricket to bring different ethnic and faith communities closer together, fostering mutual respect and friendships. You will earn as you learn and gain a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Community Sport and Health Officer.
The Youth Sport Trust (YST) is national charity passionate about creating a brighter future for all children and young people through the power of sport. The Youth Sport Trust and Sporting Equals are delivering this special project entitled Breaking Boundaries, funded by Spirit of 2012. If you've volunteered at a sports club, have creative ideas, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and understand the importance of teamwork then this is the role for you.
The apprentice will join a supportive and collaborative team at YST and work will colleagues at Sporting Equals to help deliver this innovative programme. You will help develop relationships with other organisations and individuals to deliver the activities for young people and their communities across 5 cities – Birmingham, Bradford, Manchester, London and Slough. This will involve an imaginative and problem-solving approach to ensure successful programme of delivery that positively impacts the lives of young people through sport.
This rare opportunity will develop your project management skills and because you will be involved in seeing the impact of the programme first hand you will expand your skills in capturing data, monitoring progress and reporting. You must have experience of leading and volunteering in sport in School Sport, Community/Club Sport settings or
Sports Events. You will have some understanding of project management and be keen to work with young people and their communities.
