The structure of Sporting Equals is light and flat, giving our partners direct access to core areas of expertise. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation, with a network of 5,000 Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) organisations drawing on the wide experience of our trustees and team members to provide effective equality and diversity solutions.
Our Mission and Aims
Sporting Equals exists to promote ethnic diversity across sport and physical activity, and is the only organisation in the UK to do so. Originally set up in 1998 by Sport England, in partnership with the Commission for Racial Equality, we are now a fully independent body with a well-established mission.
